Meet the Teen Librarians

Alexandria

Video game journalist by night and library aide by day Alexandria is a lifelong superhero fan and partaker of otaku culture. With a background in anthropology and education her interests have taken her to South Korea, Poland and back again. She loves all things geeky from tabletop role playing games to Saturday morning cartoons but a perfect day would include the beach, a strong cup of coffee, vinyl on the record player, a good book and the company of her husband and son, oooh and ice cream.

Amber

Amber enjoys reading sci fi, trying new recipes, dancing, swimming and making lists. When she’s not building robots or playing chess at the library, she likes spending time volunteering with middle schoolers, watching live theater and getting lost in new places. Some of her favorites include eels, museums, lavender and outer space. Before moving to Colorado, Amber lived in Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Alaska.

Becca

Becca is an extreme booknerd. She is always reading the latest YA books and even has a blog dedicated to young adult fiction. When she isn’t reading she enjoys spending time with her family, playing video games, doing puzzles, baking and watching Netflix. She is a huge geek and enjoys being part of several fandoms. Her favorites include Harry Potter, Adventure Time, Legend of Zelda, Doctor Who, and of course anything book related.

Julie

Julie is a self-proclaimed cat lady (even though she only lives with one). She is a librarian by day, a reader by night, and is really finding it extremely difficult to talk about herself in the third person, but obviously has been persuaded to do so. With coffee running through her veins, she will squeal excitedly about sea otters and probably force you to watch a live feed of them, doing nothing in particular, until you’re forced to walk away awkwardly. Just humor her, will you? When she sings a silly song don’t question her. She didn’t just make it up. Her favorites include reading in the sun, going on outdoor adventures, live music, crafting, and being an eternal optimist. Her fears include any type of bug that flies into your face and when your eyelashes stick together.

Maribeth

Maribeth grew up in the Midwest and always longed to be near the mountains. It was truly an exciting moment when she learned that she was moving to Colorado. She likes to spend time hiking and riding her bicycle. Maribeth will read just about anything, because books are awesome. She enjoys playing several instruments, singing and her artwork. She also loves to spend as much time as possible with family….especially the grandchildren!
