Presenter April Stutters is published in 3 academic social work journals and has a self-published poetry book. She is a board member of the Loveland Poet Laureate program and is the chair of the Youth Outreach Committee which teaches and promotes poetry in schools. She is a retired mental health/counselor and nonprofit worker. Her hobbies also include storytelling, kayaking, cross country skiing and laughing.
Poet Marge Piercy is an 88-year-old radical, Jewish, feminist writer and activist whose work focuses on social change and environmentalism. She is a prolific writer in many genres, including poetry, novels, and non-fiction. Her work is, as it always has been, very relevant to this time in history.
