Join poet Julie Cummings in a workshop exploring the poetry of Adrienne Rich. This workshop is open for all ages and all levels.

Diving into the life and works of Adrienne Rich is an exciting journey. She is a brilliant thinker who passionately explores important issues. One of the key themes in her early poetry is change, which becomes a defining aspect of her career.  As her ideas evolved her poetry evolved as well, in both style and subject matter. In our discussions of 7 decades of her poetry, we’ll enjoy reading some of her most famous pieces and let her inspire us to create our own poems as well!

About the presenter:  Julie Cummings is currently the President of Columbine Poets, Inc. and a former President of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. She has led poetry workshops nationwide, including in Minnesota, Texas, and Tennessee, and most recently at the Crestone Poemfest in Colorado. Julie is a retired educator who enjoys a fulfilling life filled with happiness. In her spare time, she loves reading and writing poetry and engaging in crafts, camping, and cooking. Additionally, she is training a Goldendoodle puppy while ensuring that her other two dogs feel comfortable and secure.
